Tapered Zees
Tapered Zees are structural components with a Z-shaped profile that gradually tapers from one end to the other. This unique design allows for increased strength where it’s needed most while minimizing weight and material use in less critical areas. Manufactured through the open die forging process, Tapered Zees offers superior strength, durability, and load-bearing capacity, making them ideal for a wide range of industries and applications.
Unlike traditional Zees, which maintain a consistent thickness throughout, Tapered Zees have a thickness that decreases along the length of the beam, creating a tapered profile. This design helps optimize material usage by reinforcing the areas under higher stress, while reducing material where less strength is required.
